Dr. Nyambega Ombuki, our Executive Director, has a PhD degree in SCM from Jomo K11enyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, Kenya. He has an MBA Finance and BBA Marketing both from Kenya Methodist University and a postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply. He further has Diploma in Supplies Management and Diploma in Business Management. Dr. Nyambega is a certified Corporate Governance Trainer having successfully completed training by the Centre for Corporate Governance. He has over fifteen years in public, private and NGO sectors’ supply chain management experience. He is a part time lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and South Eastern Kenya University and Kenya Institute of Supplies Management and holds memberships to various professional associations. He is a Member and Certified Procurement Practitioner of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management. He was recently appointed to serve in a panel of content experts in SCM to draw PSM Curriculum.
Dr. Nyambega has over fifteen years experience in procurement management practice. He has vast hands on experience working in the NGO, Humanitarian and the public sectors. His recent training consultancy was with KenyaRE training on End to End Procurement which entailed equipping participant with relevant knowledge to fully implement IFMIS and on aspects of effective contract management. He also managed an assignment for Production and Preparation of Standard Bidding Documents (SBDS) and Procurement Manual for Palestinian Authority in Israel. Others include Contract Monitoring Baseline Studies focusing of various sectors of the economy such as Education, Roads, Health (Pharmaceuticals) and Water in Kenya; Procurement Audit (Review) in the ministry of National Planning and Vision 2030; South Easter Kenya University; National Cereals & Produce Board (NCPB), Office of the President through sub-consultancy and procurement training programs.
